Love The Weigh You Are

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

Size 0? Nope. Six feet? Nope. 95 pounds? Nope. Beautiful? Yes. Confident? Yes. Fierce? Yes. Bad ass? Hell Yes!

I know we all have seen the Victoria Secret runway shows, along with countless other fashion runways, and assume that you must meet a certain height, size, and weight criteria, to be considered a super model. Social media has probably also tainted some of our minds to believe that to be an "it girl", you must have a thin waist, a big butt and big boobs that sit up high. Many women take this to mean, that they must go in search of the "perfect doctor", that can transform their natural, beautiful bodies into a "perfect image". Guess what? That "perfect image", will never be indicative of what most women look like, in today's or tomorrow's world. I would love to know what happened to being ok with who we are, and accepting the fact, that we were all created wonderfully beautiful, but different, by design. I don't knock the people who choose to alter their looks, for whatever reason they choose to alter them...I'm just a lover of what's naturally beautiful. It's the uniqueness for me!

Opportunities are limitless, and so with that, I've decided to create mini runways to spotlight models in every size, shape or form. Recently, I decided to spotlight some beautiful plus size women.

First there's Lisa, who I met when she answered the call I put out for plus size women, who would be interested in doing a photo shoot. Lisa, along with my team and myself, met up at Miller's Ale House, where we ate, chatted, and got acquainted with our potential model. Lisa was beautiful, nice, and opened to many of our ideas. She was just what we were looking for, so in my mind, I was hoping we received a definitive yes answer. And we did. I took her measurements; told her we'd be in touch and set off to get started with all the work ahead.

Next was Shawnta, who I met after she also answered the call for the plus size photo shoot. Anna and I met up with Shawnta, chatted a bit, and she too gave us a definitive yes to being in the photo shoot. Beautiful, fun spirited and also opened to different ideas. She was excited, because she told us she had never did anything like this before and she wanted to do something special for herself. I took her measurements and asked her to send me ideas of some looks she was interested in. I believe in stepping outside the box as often as possible, so I encouraged her to take a risk and go with ideas that's totally opposite of what she's used to wearing.

I decided to have the ladies wear all black, to represent subtle sexiness. I'm a risk taker, so I love when people are open to stepping outside of their comfort zone. So, guess what, we're showing some skin! I knew they would be a bit nervous, since this was a first for them. My team and I (WeAllOne Productions) always make sure to meet beforehand with anyone we work with, to get acclimated and to show them that we are very professional, courteous, and fun loving. We always communicate multiple times prior to the engagement, so that by the time the event rolls around, you would think we've all known each other forever. For any type of relationship to work, communication is key. No relationship will ever be successful without it. Besides, what would become of our photo shoots, if we didn't know what their favorite colors were, their likes and dislikes in fashion, and sometimes their favorite drink, to knock the edge off before they get in front of the camera. Besides, chemistry shows through every lens. On the day of every event, we laugh, joke, dance and everyone gets to just be themselves. My team and I are so fun and vivacious, that you have no choice but to gravitate to our energy and shenanigans...lol. Ask anyone we've worked with and they'll validate everything I've said.

The day of the photo shoot went off without a hitch...well almost. For some reason GPS took the ladies to another location with the same exact address, so we got started a little late. Besides that, everything else went well. The ladies looked amazingly beautiful and did not come to play! You would have thought Lisa and Shawnta were the best of friends. We had so much fun. I'll post the video soon. Below are a few photos from that day. They look beautiful right? Anna was the master behind the camera! I'm happy they took a leap of faith and totally stepped out of their comfort zones and represented the KeiwoB brand.

So, until next time, know that you are beautiful just the way you are, and that runways are for everyone! And that's on Mary had a little lamb. Okurrr!
